InductoForge Approach to Induction Heating |
 Designed to fit the flexible manufacturing requirements of today¡¯s forge shop.A totally new form of induction heating platform has been developed by the Inductotherm Group of companies to match the needs of today¡¯s highly productive forging company. The InductoForge™ modular design allows the forge shop to assemble an induction system that exactly matches the application requirements ¨C and makes it possible to add or subtract modules from the system to match future production requirements (optimizing energy usage and floor space while minimizing the capital outlay). A power module is capable of running at a wide range of frequencies with minimal change (500 Hz to 6000 Hz).
Each module is individually controllable, resulting in a much finer and more accurate control of billet temperature. All of this is transparent to the operator who simply selects the proper recipe via part number from the operator screen and then hits the heat on button. The InductoForge™ controls automatically set the module power levels and feed rates to provide properly heated billets to the forging operation. The resulting heating system fits into the ultimate flexible manufacturing cell for forging.
